October is celebrated annually as National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Micah searched on his own for over seven years to find a job that was in line with his skills and interests. It wasn’t until he was connected with Dennis, a job developer from Capabilities who was inspired by Micah’s persistence, that he found a job that was well suited for him. Micah has many interests outside of work, mainly having to do with his college degree in game development – check back as we will be highlighting his vlogs. Micah lives on his own, vlogs about his autism, has created a cartoon series called “Adventures with Micah”, is widely known for his dancing, and holds a second job at Taco Bell.
